SPRING AWAKENING

Tragedy of adolescence, written between the autumn of 1890 and the Easter of 1891.
A play about the awakening of a spring not so flowery.
About the end of innocence and the bitterness of difference.
About a restless youth.
Gender and social class.
About our role in the world.

There is despair, but there is also hope.

We take responsibility for not being left unborn, even though we don't know how we got to this world.

We find that sometimes, "life really is incredibly cruel."
